Jamie Blackett

A farmer-writer and conservationist sets out his case for an  alternative 'third way' to the entrenched positions taken by the  environmentalists and the farming lobby on the subject of re-wilding.

In  this series of essays and observations, Jamie Blackett eloquently shows  how the British countryside should be capable of producing food and  bringing back the call of the curlew or the colour of a grassland  meadow. He sets a tone of hope that balancing sustainable food  production, whilst also enhancing nature, is eminently achievable."
Jamie  Blackett has worked with The Charles Douglas-Home Memorial Trust to  produce a fascinating insight and new perspective, using Knepp, Holkham,  the Lowther estates, Lynbreck Croft and his own farm in Dumfriesshire  as living, working examples.
